Heathcliff should look and sound like Rishi Sunak, says top Brontë expert

In a surprising twist, an academic who specializes in Emily Brontë's work has proposed that the fictional character Heathcliff should actually look and sound like former UK Prime Minister Rishi Sunak. This revelation might make fans of 'Wuthering Heights' do a double-take!

Heathcliff, known for his brooding nature and dark allure, has often been interpreted by various actors like Richard Burton and Tom Hardy. However, Professor Helen Archer argues that romantics have been getting it wrong for centuries. She believes Britain's last prime minister is the perfect match for the role.

Archer claims, "In the time of the Brontës, everyone was shorter, making Heathcliff's 5ft 6in stature, just like Mr. Sunak, quite towering!" She adds that the character's dark features and a manuscript chapter where he cooks a biryani hint at a Punjabi Indian background.

"The cruelty and animalistic passion of Heathcliff must be balanced with the instincts of a man who made a fortune in Victorian England," she continues, suggesting that Heathcliff would have the clipped, nerdy intonation reminiscent of a former analyst at Goldman Sachs.

However, Archer quips about Hollywood's predictable ignorance, "So yes, Margot Robbie should have been making out with the member for Richmond and Northallerton. But Hollywood predictably ignores this because nobody could wank over that smarmy twat."
