In a move that will have hotel guests scratching their heads, a new regulation requires all hotel showers to operate in completely different and unusual ways. The goal is to make any remaining conventional showers illegal, encouraging hotels to implement their own quirky methods for turning on the water.
A spokesperson for the Global Hotels Association emphasized that consistency in shower operation leads to complacency. 'If we allow showers that function by simply turning on a tap, then we kill innovation,' he said.
This new legislation seeks to create bespoke experiences where guests might spend half an hour figuring out how to operate the shower, all while possibly soaking themselves and the bathroom in the process. The spokesperson noted that many hotels have already embraced this approach, with confusing systems that keep guests guessing.
From secret levers to hidden dials, guests are now part of a curated adventure with each shower. To add to the fun, additional legislation is being drafted to ensure hotel light switches are positioned in the least obvious places.
