Pauline Hanson's private aeroplane, a gift from Gina Rinehart, was set for its maiden voyage when it was abruptly grounded. The reason? Barnaby Joyce was discovered horizontal and unresponsive on one of its wings, prompting aviation officials to declare a 'code Barnaby.'
Initially, ground crew attempted to proceed with boarding, mistaking Joyce for part of the livery. However, plans were abandoned when he mumbled about 'regional infrastructure' and rolled dangerously close to the engine.
Aviation authorities have cordoned off the area, citing safety concerns. There's even talk that Joyce might attempt a press conference from his precarious position. Officials humorously suggested that the only way to coax him off might be to introduce a young female staffer nearby.
