Trains turn their heating on

As temperatures rise to record highs, trains have decided to join in on the fun by turning their heating up to the max. Train companies, having conserved energy by keeping their carriages cold in winter, now treat passengers to a toasty experience during the bank holiday heatwave.

Rail manager Martin Bishop chuckled, 'Our trains will be overcrowded and late, so the warm, dusty air from the heating grilles is our way of compensating. The refreshments trolley won't be running due to staff shortages, adding to the ambiance. And don't worry, the windows on older trains are locked shut until November, so no catching a chill while we idle under the sun.'

'If you need to cool down, try peeking into the first-class carriage. Our better-off passengers have complimentary fans to beat the heat,' he added.

Regular rail user Nikki Hollis commented, 'This is peak bank holiday vibes. The only way it could be better is if the toilets are out of order and someone plays awful music without headphones.'
