Nottingham Comedy Festival 2023: Get a Bucket and a Mop for this Work in Progress (WIP)
A musical romp with lewd lyrics, raunchy rhymes and smutty songs from the comedic mind of Kitty Messalina. Kitty's unique perspectives on prejudice, promiscuity and polyamory quickly earned her a nomination as a Finalist for the NCF New Act of the Year Award 2019, and since then she has gone from strength to strength; most recently, at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, she was shortlisted for the ADHD Comedy Award 2022. She has performed with greats such as Rosie Jones, Paul Sinha, and as tour support for Shaparak "Shappi" Khorsandi, and earlier this year she performed solo at the Nottingham Playhouse as the Nottingham Queer Arts Collective's Featured Artist of the Month. Following the sold-out success of her initial stand-up show "Is This Thing Turned On?" at the Nottingham Comedy Festival 2021, this is the debut performance of her brand new solo comedy show, combining witty observations and anecdotes with original songs and parodies. Work-in-progress.
