I wanted to treat my friend to a special event for his birthday, but was unsure where to take them. Being fans of Ruth Jones and Stella, this seemed like the right choice and we weren’t disappointed. The cast were down to earth, having in fits of laughter and they definitely owned their characters on the night of the event. It felt we were part of a live special episode from the show. Thanks, Ruth Jones and Jokepit, for making my friend’s birthday extra special.

Loved this event. It was awesome! And it was so lovely to hear all the actors experiences of being part of the show.

Initial comedian was poor, not funny, and made jokes that were inappropriate for the audience, which was mostly middle aged or older people, predominantly female - in particular jokes about bestiality, pan sexuals and gay people. Not in the billing as a Stella reunion and just out of place and poor. As soon as cast came on was funny and warm and thankfully the comedian stepped away and let them get on with it. Felt sorry for Claire Hingutt that she was signing in the interval when many people were getting drinks/going to the toilet -testament to her and her voice that she could still command the room. Would have been far better skipping the comedian, having a proper slot for Claire and interval being just nothing so people could get on with drinks and auction bids. Venue was too hot but otherwise fine. Auction was far too long although Steve Spiers made it entertaining and it was for good causes - the event ran over by an hour over published time.

What an amazing night. Full of laughter, stories and memories from an excellent panel of guests. Outstanding value for money.
