Funny Things can Happen in a Dark Basement Jan

We're kicking the year off 2024 the basement of the Four Horsemen for another great night of comedy excellence featuring a host of great comedians. 

This year we've got the lovely Jack Clay opening our show. Jack's an autistic comedian from the Isle of Wight. He runs his own shows over there and has performed alongside a number of big names including Harriet Kemsley, Mark Simmons, Elliot Steel, Robert White, Scott Bennett, Paul McCaffrey, Paul Tonkinson, Nathan Caton & in August 2023 Jack opened 2 shows for Shappi Khorsandi.
We also welcome back Cailleigh Mann, a fresh young act who's an audience favourite with a lot of incisive jokes. Cailleigh made the semi-finals of of the Southampton Comedian of the Year 2023 after less than ten gigs so we're looking forward to seeing how she does in 2024! 

Our second lady of the show Shannon Sumfing is one of Portsmouth's favourite comedians. Witty and dark, she welcomes hecklers, but you may regret it. 

Gavin Egan returns to the cellar after a brief hiatus. Gavin has performed at comedy venues across Hampshire and Dorset, plus a first appearance at the Edinburgh Festival this year. He also runs an open mic comedy show in Dorchester. He's on a mission to prove that laughter really is the best medicine, although deep down, he suspects medicine is the best medicine.

Rounding off the line-up is are two of my favourite comedians - Travis Booth-Millard, a die hard Bournemouth fan with luscious locks and some killer jokes, and Chris Masih - a man after my own heart with some delightfully dark punchlines. 

6 great acts and fantastic drinks bargains combine to create an excellent night's entertainment.
