TweetJoe Dehuai and Roasted Comedy brings you another round of Cardiff's most cutthroat comedy competition (this is a lie, its actually very relaxed and fun). Join us for a night of quickfire fives featuring a fistfull of funny folks battling it out for the coveted Golden Thumb Award - All in aid of an excellent cause chosen by the winner!
The show will be opened by an established circuit act, followed by the competitors each doing a quickfire 5 minute set - if they go over time they will be played off by our resident professional trombonist Josh Pennar. We will then break for the voting to begin, followed by a closing set while we count the votes by a previous Golden Thumb Award winner!
All proceeds from the event will go to a charity chosen by the winner
The event is free entry, but to vote for your favourite act donations are required.

Great evening and will return! I haven't been to live comedy show before and it was very good fun and I got involved with the audience participation happily! There was Only one act I didn't really understand, but I think i was the wrong TA for that one so just one of those cases of 'you can't please all'. Venue was cool too, they just seemed ill prepared for an event, no hot chocolate, no chai, no vegan cakes :(

Great line up for a good cause. Shame the venue/layout wasn't really conducive to a comedy night, or maybe it was the audience who seemed to think it was ok to talk whilst the comedians performed, and noisily rustle crisp packets throughout... Maybe with a different layout and audience, I would recommend it... Rob Hughes and Costas were particular standout stand ups! :-)
