****PLEASE NOTE THIS EVENT IS HELD IN OUR SISTER VENUE HOFFI COFFI ON COLUMN ROAD*****
Lineup:
HARRI DOBBS: GADAEL Y GOGLEDD (ESCAPE NORTH WALES) - A BILLINGUAL COMEDY HORROR SURVIVAL GAME
A comedy show where you die at the end (probably).
After a not so successful night out you fall asleep on what you think is the bus home. But when you wake up you are not home, you are somewhere unfamiliar, terrifying and altogether alien. NORTH WALES. You have to find your friends, escape and most importantly, SURVIVE! (Apologies to anyone from North Wales, I’ve never actually been)
Let comedian, storyteller and wannabe leader Harri Dobbs guide you through an adventure where the decisions are up to you, and most pathways end in your own death… in the game, like you’ll be fine in real life (probably).
Harri Dobbs is a bilingual standup who performs in both English & Welsh, he is a pervious alumni of S4C and Little Wander's Comedy Lab Cymru and host of Didn't Ask podcast.
MAY THOMPSON: THE ROOM IS FILLED WITH PEOPLE THAT LOVE YOU
In her last show May was angry. Fuming even. The world wasn’t making any sense and things didn’t feel good. This time it’s different. She’s medicated, optimistic and hopelessly in love with you. This is a story about love, rooms and the people you love in rooms. And also about the pope. There’s quite a long routine about the pope.
The second show from Cornish Comedian of the Year finalist May Thompson pushes her persona to new places, asking if somebody this bitter can be optimistic and joyful at long last. The show is also funny though.
May Thompson is the co-host of “The Justin Timberthon” podcast (with Harri Dobbs), Cornish Comedian of the Year Finalist, and writer for BBC One Wales’ “What Just Happened?”
