ROASTED COMEDY SCRATCH NIGHT - ALISON SPITTLE & JESSIE NIXON

Roasted Comedy presents another 'Scratch Night' featuring a double bill of two rising stars presenting previews of their brand new shows! These nights are perfect for comedy lovers who want to get involved in the creative process and enjoy the nuts and bolts of building a show, with these two acts workshopping new material and show structures as they hone their ideas ahead of the Fringe in 2027 - expect big laughs,  big ideas, and a little bit of chaos...

Lineup: ALISON SPITTLE & JESSIE NIXON

ALISON SPITTLE: WIP

Alison Spittle and Jessie Nixon double up. It's a night of two WIPs. Come see Alison and Jessie work it out. Alison Spittle is working out a follow-up to her award winning Show Big.

As seen and heard on Ignore That Feeling, Wheel of Misfortune, Off Menu, What did you do yesterday?, Richard Osman's House of Games and Celebrity Pointless. 'Fearless – there's a wildness, honesty and charm' (Tommy Tiernan). 'Hilarious' (Rolling Stone).

JESSIE NIXON: MAGPIE (WIP)

Jessie Nixon is 'destined for greatness' (-The Evening Standard), but can she fulfil her potential? Much like the temperature of the planet or the average celebrity BMI, she has undergone great change this last year and as usual cannot resist the urge to overshare. This is the skeleton of a show about love, lust, peaks, troughs, and carving out an identity for yourself. Let her gently or not so gently talk you through it, it'll be fun!

'Make no mistake, Nixon is destined for greatness' - The Standard

'laugh-out-loud funny' - The Scotsman

'Genuinely outstanding' - Broadway Baby

Featured in The Observer's 'Highlights of the Fringe' 2025

As seen on BBC1, BBC3, Samsung TV, ITV

Hosted by Joe Dehuai.
