A little bit more about the charity...
Cherry Lodge Cancer Care is a small independent charity based in Barnet / Herts and are committed to improving the quality of life for people living with cancer, their carers, family, and friends. Our services, which are provided free of charge, focus on the provision of high-quality cancer support, information, and complementary therapies. These are delivered by cancer nurse specialists and by therapists. We also have an Outreach Service concentrating particularly on providing information and support to members of black and minority ethnic groups.
The number of cases of cancer is rising each year and national resources are stretched. There is an unmet need and a growing demand for the services we provide. During this pandemic we have had to change the way we work. Our complementary therapies have been halted and visits to the centre stopped. Those with cancer and those newly diagnosed have been facing an even more uncertain future.

Brilliant night - superb venue (Birds Nest Brixton). The compere, Sion, made us feel welcome from the moment we stepped through the door, and the acts were hilarious! 10/10 would go again!

The best comedy nights make you forget everything - where you are, the time, your worries. This was one of those nights. I even forgot I was in a beige function room of a slightly dreary corporate hotel. Highlights were the compere Pat and the extraordinary President Obunjo - I was in convulsions. In a good way. Well done The Jokepit! More of the same please
