Cherry Lodge Cancer Care is a small independent charity based in Barnet / Herts and are committed to improving the quality of life for people living with cancer, their carers, family, and friends. Our services, which are provided free of charge, focus on the provision of high-quality cancer support, information, and complementary therapies. These are delivered by cancer nurse specialists and by therapists. We also have an Outreach Service concentrating particularly on providing information and support to members of black and minority ethnic groups.The number of cases of cancer is rising each year and national resources are stretched. There is an unmet need and a growing demand for the services we provide.

During this pandemic we have had to change the way we work. Our complementary therapies have been halted and visits to the centre stopped. Those with cancer and those newly diagnosed have been facing an even more uncertain future.They receive no form of statutory funding with our only sources of funding through fundraising events and donations, and these have been severely affected by Covid 19 ; therefore sustaining this level of service will be increasingly difficult as we enter the autumn / winter months .
