For one long weekend, venues across the city will host an exciting programme of live comedy, including stand-up shows, Edinburgh preview performances, interactive dining experiences and family-friendly workshops. Whether you're planning a Friday night out, a Saturday showcase with friends, or daytime comedy for younger audiences, there’s something for every taste and budget.
Aurie Styla
Aurie Styla is an award-winning comedian, actor and writer from London, known as “a powerhouse of presence & humor” and one of the UK’s most charismatic performers. His acclaimed special GREEN won the 2022 Spirit of the Edinburgh Fringe Award and is available on YouTube. Aurie has appeared on Deep Fake Neighbour Wars (ITVX), Comedy Central Live, Jonathan Ross’ Comedy Club (ITV), Don’t Hate The Playaz (ITV), and Mo Gilligan’s Black British & Funny (C4), and he was a writer on the BAFTA-winning The Lateish Show with Mo Gilligan.
As a voice actor, he is the worldwide voice of Pinterest and has worked with eBay, Wagamama, FIFA, Audible, BBC, and more. A former BBC Radio London host, he also features on The Now Show, Newsjack, BBC 1Xtra, and his own Respectfully… Podcast. Aurie performs globally and has independently sold out four comedy specials and eight UK tours through ComedyMania Productions, totaling over 18,000 tickets. On-screen, he stars in On The Other Foot (2022) and co-leads The Living Dead (2019) on Amazon Prime. In his spare time, he’s a gamer, movie buff, retro collector, and fitness enthusiast, serving as an ambassador at Flippers Roller Boogie Palace in London.
Jon Pearson
Jon began standup comedy in 2011, with his first performance at Birmingham's Highlight Comedy Club. Two successful Edinburgh shows later, and 5 years working the UK comedy circuit, Jon is now regularly found at the biggest and best comedy clubs across the UK including The Glee Club, The Comedy Store and Jongleurs, both as an act and a compere. His 2015 Daves Leicester Comedy Festival show, Jon Pearson: Tall Order, sold out at Melton Theatre within 2 weeks of the tickets going on sale. Jon's laid back storytelling has audiences hanging on his every word. With tales based around his own life experiences, his anecdotes are relatable and certain to have people in hysterics.
Based in the Midlands, Jon is the resident MC at his own comedy night Wax Comical at The Noels Arms in Melton Mowbray.
